This story has been literally years in the making. It’s been a quest to illuminate truth. It’s about “right-sizing” the electrical systems appropriate to actual electrical demand. As you may recall, this research (Mazzetti has been spearheading for years), is meant to illustrate the ACTUAL peak electrical demand when a hospital is stressed to the max... Queue a once-in-a-century pandemic.

Chelsea Quigley is a newly promoted Associate and Plumbing Designer in our San Francisco office. She started with Mazzetti after graduating from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a degree in environmental engineering and says she fell into the role somewhat randomly – “[Plumbing] was something I had never realized even was a career (the toilet just magically flushes on its own, right?).” Five years later, Chelsea has become an indispensable part of the plumbing team, working on projects of varying size in addition to project management.

Vaibhav Srivastava is the new Director of for Mazzetti India in Bengaluru. With over 20 years of experience in MEP manufacturing through MEP design, his portfolio spans various markets in India and throughout the world. Vaibhav is looking forward to expanding Mazzetti’ s reach in India and Southeast Asian markets.

Meet Mazzetti’s newest Healthcare Mechanical Engineer, George Augustini. George is no stranger to the “Spirit of Mazzetti,” driving healthier, enduring environments through research, code reform, and innovative project design. He was recently named among ENR’s Mountain States Top Young Professionals (under 40). Formerly at SSR, George joins Mazzetti Denver as an Associate Principal, located in Denver, CO, serving Healthcare clients nationwide.

Continuing our 8-year long relationship with Team Tech, earlier this year Mazzetti collaborated with a team of students for the annual Cal Poly Society of Women Engineers Team Tech competition — a collegiate competition focused on the importance of teamwork and interfacing with the engineering industry.  We are proud to report, our team took first place!  

Meet Christina Vernon Sanborn, Mazzetti’s new Senior Decarbonization Specialist. An architect, Christina brings unique owner experience in the Healthcare and Education sectors, in facility planning, design, and operations. Her passion and expertise in sustainability coupled with her ability to drive positive change is an effective combo (and her track record vouches). Christina, though based in Cleveland, OH, will serve Mazzetti clients nationwide, helping yield positive climate-responsible solutions.

Edna Webb is Mazzetti’s Controller—ensuring the day-to-day financial activities are executed—payments made, general ledger is current, reporting is completed, etc. Edna was previously employed by another engineering firm as an Accounting Manager, before joining Mazzetti  as Controller 11 years ago, working out of the Nashville (Franklin) office.

Kristelle Fruge is an associate and technology project manager for Mazzetti+GBA’s technology division out of the Franklin, TN office. After working in high tech for many years, Kristelle was looking for a change in her career and was drawn to medical equipment and IT planning. She ended up at GBA (which merged with Mazzetti in 2016) and has been an indispensable part of the team ever since!

Meet Janelle Drouet, Mazzetti’s new Senior Lighting Designer. For more than 20 years, Janelle has contributed to the success of a broad spectrum of lighting design projects of varying sizes and complexities including LEED, WELL, daylighting, heritage, fast track, and design-build projects. Regardless of scope or project type, she firmly believes that good lighting design, access to daylighting and/or shading, is a basic human right and it should be equitable for all. Janelle joins Mazzetti as a Senior Associate, based in San Francisco, CA.
