The new two-story, 62,000-SF Legacy Central Laboratory, which sits on a site adjacent to the old laboratory, was formerly a surface parking lot. The new facility doubled the size of Legacy’s laboratory space and offers state-of-the-art equipment, workstations with network access to easily record results, walk-in coolers, pathology and forensics labs, emergency showers, and other spaces.
The new facility is 30% more energy efficient than comparable high-performance labs and allows Legacy to consolidate several locations into one space.
