6/18/24

Mazzetti is delighted to announce that Charles Wales has joined our team as a Senior Commissioning Authority. Charles brings over three decades of invaluable experience in commercial and healthcare facilities.

Charles has developed extensive expertise in controls, HVAC, and central plants. His diverse background includes roles as a contractor, operator, project manager, and commissioning agent, which have equipped him with a unique understanding of building systems and efficient solutions.

One of Charles’ notable achievements was leading the design, installation, programming, and commissioning of a co-generation plant at the Bank of America Plaza in Los Angeles. This complex project involved coordinating natural gas generators, boilers, and chillers to meet the building’s electricity, hot water, and chilled water needs. Additionally, Charles successfully addressed the City’s unique plume abatement requirements for the cooling towers without compromising plant efficiency.

Throughout his illustrious career, Charles has contributed to numerous innovative projects across the country, including the Aon Center in Los Angeles, the San Diego Convention Center, various Macerich Malls in Phoenix, and several high-rise buildings in New York. He also served as the Chairman of the Orange Coast College HVAC Advisory Committee from 1996 to 2000.

Charles’ passion for sustainability and efficiency drives his continued commitment to the field. He finds immense satisfaction in seeing projects run smoothly and helping clients achieve their goals.

Please join us in welcoming Charles Wales to the Mazzetti family. We are excited to see the positive impact he will bring to our projects and clients.
