Mazzetti adds two key professionals, Massoud Safaee and Dave Golner, to position technology design and consulting as an integral part of its integrated building systems solutions. The new additions provide Mazzetti competitive advantage via their depth of experience and geographical locations, to serve clients nationwide.
The new technology team hit the ground running, gathering for a retreat in Mazzetti’s San Francisco headquarters within the first week of assembling. Quickly assessing each addition’s specific expertise, along with that of current Senior Technology Associate, Brian Johnson in the Nashville, Tennessee office, senior management was highly encouraged.  Thirteen-year Mazzetti veteran Jon Inman, Principal and Pacific Regional Lead, stated his excitement: “The depth of experience that we’ve been able to add to our technology team is extremely exciting. We have some real opportunities to continue our technology service line and take it to the next level.”
Massoud Safaee is the new Technology Business Development and Pacific Regional Lead, working from Mazzetti’s Irvine, California office. Safaee looks to expand technology services to include in all building system solutions. “We are offering integrated solutions for building systems, rather than traditional MEP siloes designing individual systems. Technology must be considered an integral part of the building systems, not an add on feature.”
Safaee has a 20-year proven track record in technology, specializing in healthcare design. Most recently, he was an Account Executive at Johnson Controls Inc., leading the largest medical center accounts and client development. He is both a prominent speaker and published writer in the industry and looks forward to continue his work under the Mazzetti brand.
Dave Golner, the new Technology Discipline Lead, working from Mazzetti’s Seattle, Washington office, is primed to elevate internal infrastructure to meet and exceed national standards. “We have to raise the level of our technology expertise company-wide, so that we become more integrated in our project delivery. We can help set the tone to strategically position Mazzetti per industry needs and to lead the industry in delivering the highest quality services to our customers,” says Golner.
Prior to Mazzetti, Golner was the Director of Technology at Arnold & O’Sheridan, a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm in Wisconsin, and a Senior project Manager at Sparling in Seattle, Washington. His move to the Pacific Northwest was catalyzed by healthcare technology opportunities. “From my own healthcare facility experience, I’m encouraged by Mazzetti’s approach to the marriage of facility and technology systems to ensure they play well together.”
