(San Leandro, CA)— Kaiser San Leandro Medical Center was recognized with an Award of Merit, Best Project Winner 2014 by McGraw-Hill Construction/ENR California, on Tues, November 4.
ENR Awards are dedicated to honoring the best construction projects and the companies that designed and built them in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Projects compete in 20 specialized categories, ranging from airports to sports/entertainment. Independent juries of industry leaders in design and construction from each of ENR’s 10 regional editions judge the projects using five criteria, including safety, innovation and teamwork.
Mazzetti provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design services for the new Kaiser San Leandro Hospital and Medical Office Building. The new campus features a six-story, 264-bed, 436,000 sf Template Hospital consisting of a diagnostics and treatment portion and integrated nursing towers, offering acute-care and emergency services alongside a 275,000 sf hospital support building. This new campus is also supported by a new 30,000 sf central utility plant.
