LightWalk 2022: “Equitable City – Characteristics of Light”
A guided evening walking tour and discussion on equity of the nighttime landscape, highlighting quality of light in applications through the lens of a local neighborhood.
About the event:
The tour will start at a local “watering hole”. Mazzetti will provide a complimentary beverage in celebration of our 60th Anniversary. We’ll cheers, chat, and check out some examples of quality lighting sources before we hit the road!
The walking tour will depart (rain or shine), following the respective neighborhood route. A member of Mazzetti’s Lighting Design Studio will be your tour guide, highlighting examples of various lighting design applications in the urban landscape for discussion — how might these examples bolster or hinder a more equitable community? We’ll encourage everyone to share their unique perspective throughout the tour, so we can learn from each other.
At the end of the tour, we’ll provide a take-home overview of tips/tricks for lighting an evening environment. Of course, feel free to stick around post-tour for more enLIGHTening conversation. (We couldn’t help ourselves!) Hope to see you soon in a neighborhood near you!
