I have over 30 years of professional nursing experience in acute care and leadership. I started my career on the clinical side — became a charge nurse and transitioned into other leadership positions. In these roles, I participated in hospital-wide projects, such as throughput, quality improvements, Joint Commission/DNV preparedness, budgetary waste elimination, and COVID pandemic care delivery. After having been involved in an expansion/ renovation project, I decided to pursue my passion in helping other clinicians build-out their new departments, leading me to the consulting world. My experience with clients such as Altru Health System, Roper St. Francis Healthcare, and John Muir Health includes ED expansion/renovations, capital budget preparation, med/surg, ortho/post trauma, stepdown, ICU inpatient care, family practice, and home health. My previous position was 100% travel and desiring more work/life balance, I rejoined Mazzetti+GBA because of my previous positive experience. I enjoy the team, the work, and the company especially Mazzetti’s willingness to support a remote working environment which eliminated my 3-hour daily commute. In my returning role, I will help Mazzetti’s clients bring their visions to life, while incorporating and leveraging technology, and ensuring the highest quality and safety of healthcare, into the future.
When not in the office, I try hard to be outdoors gardening or somewhere with water enjoying family and friends. I love to sit on the beach with my family and try new things such as hang gliding. I also enjoy traveling and mission work.
The coolest work I’ve ever done was the archeology dig at Tel Gezer in Isreal. I was able to join a team from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary school and recover artifacts. I’ve also enjoyed mission trips to El Valle, Panama, and Haiti.
