I have over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Civil Engineering design, including site development and public infrastructure. My specialties include stormwater management in jurisdictions throughout the State of Oregon. I’m avidly committed to thoroughness and consistency when it comes to coordination and collaboration with all team members, resulting in better documents and design solutions for all disciplines.
I really enjoy working on a project from concept to a finished state, including the various challenges in between. I recall a particular project with the Oregon State University Marine Studies, for which, I was the Civil Project Manager. In the event of tsunmai, the building was to be designed as a vertical evacuation facility, requiring a somewhat unconventional Geotechnical approach. Additionally, re Civil, the site needed to meet the National Marine Fisheries Services stormwater requirements. This included treating all site stormwater with low impact development practices to infiltrate or evaporate runoff to the maximum extent possible. However, the design required minimal grade change (across the site) and the ability to retain stormwater in an area with tidally influenced groundwater elevations. Projects like this keep me coming back for more!
