Mazzetti welcomes Senior Electrical Engineer, Jeremy Galvin, PE, and Senior Mechanical Engineer, Joshua Fait, PE, joining our Seattle/Portland team to collaborate on projects throughout the Pacific Northwest.
“With a similar client base, experts in similar market sectors, and a group of talented and eager people, marrying Portland and Seattle staff was a ‘no brainer’. This collaboration, leveraging more expertise and relationships, enables us to better serve clients in two strong geographical markets.”
– Tuan Tran, Associate Principal in Portland
Both Mazzetti new hires are skilled not only technically but also socially. They both have built personal brands on their technical engineering excellence AND exceptional emotional intelligence and communication skills.
“We are fortunate to work with sophisticated clients on complex projects. And, these projects are requiring more collaboration than ever to deliver. Toward this we prioritize not only technically skilled people, but equally skilled communicators, collaborators, and leaders.”
– Mark Stavig, Principal in Seattle
As more projects are demanding greater integrated delivery and collaboration, astute engineers with advanced communication and social skills are in high demand.
“My general objective is to make everyone else’s job easier. I intentionally seek to not only understand the complex technical elements and express them clearly, but also understand my partners (Architects, GCs, Trade Partners and Owners etc.) to build trust,” says Jeremy.
For over a decade, Jeremy has been designing electrical systems and managing a myriad of projects for government, education, and commercial clients. His project experience includes new construction and tenant improvement projects for office headquarters including the Multnomah County Courthouse, high tech labs, data centers, and manufacturing plants.
Mazzetti also seeks out and works to foster leadership capabilities in our engineers. Through our own experience, our projects are typically more successful when we appropriately lead our area of expertise. Meet Joshua Fait. One of his clients recently described him as having “innate talent to think beyond the next obstacle and conceptualize holistic solutions beyond the mechanical systems he’s designing.”
Joshua has nearly a decade of experience designing energy efficient mechanical systems in healthcare, mission critical, manufacturing, government, and commercial sectors. Discover how Josh helped lead a high-performance solution for a client, resulting in significant energy savings.
Mazzetti Pacific Northwest remains active and committed to the Healthcare sector, particularly as the pandemic has tested modern healthcare infrastructure. Our Seattle/Portland team has completed over 125 projects throughout Oregon and Washington for the Legacy Healthcare Systems, including the Meridian Park Tower in Tualatin, Good Samaritan Medical Office Building in Tacoma, and the Mt. Hood Medical Office Building.
We are currently working on a new 130,000sf medical office building in North Seattle for one of the largest healthcare nonprofits in the US. Other current projects include the West Wing Expansion for Legacy Emanuel Hospital & Health Center in Portland and the University of Washington (UW) Behavioral Health Facility in Seattle.
We are proud to work with institutions that progress healthcare delivery including Oregon Health Sciences University (OHSU), establishing the first pediatric intraoperative MRI facility on the West Coast, OHSU Doembecher. Discover more about this trend-setting project here.
In addition to Healthcare, we’re currently working with a large mobile phone carrier, assessing and designing its data centers across the country (including in the Pacific Northwest). We’ve collected detailed MEP equipment information to complete their database as well as assessing their total capacity, available capacity, and stranded capacity to allow for planning of future technology deployment. Ultimately, we are working to ensure the client has greater resiliency and flexibility, particularly in a year of substantial (and radical) climatic and social events.
