My path into lighting design was anything but conventional. It all began with a foundation in architecture, a field that taught me to think critically about how built environments can shape experiences. During my studies, an internship at an engineering firm exposed me to the intersection of creativity and technical precision that defines lighting design—and I was instantly hooked. I found my niche in blending innovative design with practical engineering, a marriage of skills that inspires me daily.

At Mazzetti, I’m excited to align my professional values with a company that prioritizes collaboration, sustainable practices, and a team-first culture. Joining a well-established yet growth-focused team is the perfect environment for both contributing my expertise and continuing to evolve in an industry that’s constantly pushing boundaries.

One of the most memorable milestones in my career was designing lighting and controls systems for the Lehman Caves at Great Basin National Park and the Timpanogos Cave National Monument. These projects were as technically challenging as they were rewarding. The opportunity to help illuminate nationally significant, delicate sites while preserving their historical and environmental integrity is a highlight of my career. Though construction is yet to commence, working on designs that will enhance visitor experiences for generations fills me with pride.

What excites me most about lighting design is its transformative power. The right lighting doesn’t just enhance a space aesthetically—it can improve functionality, highlight architectural features, and create a sense of ambiance, all while fulfilling sustainability goals. The balance of creativity, technical execution, and environmental responsibility drives my passion for this field.
