We are pleased to announce that Michael Gilmore, LEED AP, Assoc. DBIA, HFDP, has joined our team as a Principal. With a career spanning four decades, Mike brings a wealth of experience and specialized expertise in the healthcare sector.
Mike’s professional journey includes significant roles within major construction groups and pre-construction groups, specifically excelling in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Design/Build, Progressive Design Build, Design Assist, and CMAR delivery methods. During his tenure at Control Air Ent., LLC, he led the MEP scope on projects. Michael is a member of ASHE, CSHE, ASHRAE, and DBIA.
Mike is renowned for his hyper-vigilance to project schedules and milestones, earning the trust and appreciation of clients and partners. His senior-level experience and dedication to the industry yield unparalleled value on projects. Clients can expect reliability, creative solutions, and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
Among his many achievements, Mike led the HVAC design for a uniquely challenging project – designing systems for spaces with unconventional shapes. His unconventional solution for placing cooling towers in a conical element on the roof was personally approved by the famous designer Frank Gehry, contributing significantly to the project’s success. This experience underscores his ability to navigate complex design challenges and establish productive relationships, even in culturally diverse environments.
Outside of his professional life, Mike is an active member of SPIN (Serving People In Need), particularly serving the homeless population in Orange County. He enjoys entertaining clients through golf, dinners, and sporting events and loves cycling and skiing with his sons. A self-proclaimed foodie, Mike also enjoys cooking and golfing on weekends.
